Overview & Structure

Local 1000A is part of the 1.4-million member United Food and Commercial Workers International Union. With 230,000 members in Canada, it is one of the country's largest private sector unions.

 

The four full-time elected officers and nine vice-presidents make up the local union's executive board. They oversee the affairs of the local and are accountable to the membership through regular elections at Local 1000A conventions.
